Child's design for a teenage boy

When developing the design of a room for a young man, everything was taken into account: both age, and hobbies, and compliance with the overall design of the entire apartment. At the same time, I wanted to add a zest to the design of the space, to make it not only convenient, but also original, reflecting the personality of the young man.

The main condition is that a nursery for a teenage boy should grow with its owner, that is, its interior not only can, but also must change in accordance with how its owner will change as it matures. For all these reasons, the designers chose to design the British retro-style of the late sixties - early seventies. This allowed to combine in one interior and “children's”, and “adult” motives.

In the design of the room for the young man, only author's furniture is used, which looks very non-standard: the facades of the cabinets are made up of triangles of different shapes, the shelving separating the berth from the door also has almost no straight lines, its shelves form trapeziums and pentagonal shapes.

The cabinets and the floor are almost the same color, but here the handles of the cabinet are bright colored balls. Upon closer inspection, they turn out to be stylized as billiard balls - this game was recently carried away by a young man, for whom they decorated the room.

In the nursery for a teenage boy, “car” motifs are used: American car numbers appeared on the pillows, and brilliant chrome lights resemble bright headlights. This theme reflects the enthusiasm of the owner of the room machines, and serves as an excellent setting for his collection of models of sports cars.

In the design of the room for a young man just entering into adult life, a chandelier plays a special role. It provides bright lighting, reaching even remote corners, and at the same time enhances the feeling of lightness, while emphasizing the unusualness of the author's ideas.

The abundance of red is another tribute to youth hobbies, because this color is so characteristic of the British style, of which he is a fan. And the wallpaper, and details of the situation came here from the seventies.

In general, a child for a teenage boy is framed in the rebellious style of the seventies of foggy Albion. The atmosphere of England is emphasized even in the upholstery of the sofa, which has an orthopedic basis for convenience: it is covered with tweed, material classic for this country.
